This trip was of paramount importance for the fertile future of
Hacienda la Esperanza in Costa Rica. Some preparations in San José and
in Escazú had to be made first. Together with Pauline Smeeman of Ecole
Travel I carefully prepared the maiden trip to Costa Rica for Jan
Kluft, main shareholder, co-founder and future member of the
supervisory board of Vereenigde Costaricaanse Compagnie bv (VCC) with
his wife Carrie Kluft; the second Costa Rica trip of Hans van der
Holst, co-founder of Forest Returns bv and member of the supervisory
board of VVC, joined by his partner Jeanine de Winter and for my wife
and business partner Joke Kloppenborg. Later an other shareholder of
VCC would join us on Peninsula de Nicoya: Jos Bregman with his family
and his parents. In Samara I picked up the group of Jan, Carrie, Hans,
Jeanine, Joke & Pauline to make a boat trip on the Pacific Ocean
(Oceano Pacífico) where I made my most beautiful pictures of (mating !)
sea turtles ever... You can see many pictures of the De Wijs Rojas
family and of the beautiful flora and fauna of Hacienda la Esperanza as
well, even showing howling monkeys (Mono Congo). Take a look at the

surprising elements in the valey of Rio Ario on Peninsula de Nicoya...
